# Hydryx > Hydryx automates landfill gas wells. Clip-on sensors and actuators, plus a cloud algorithm, tune every valve on a landfill's existing gas system in real time. Operators get more green energy revenue from an asset they already own, with no upfront investment. Hydryx is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and has live sites in the Netherlands, Finland and the United Kingdom. Founded in 2023, Hydryx designs and assembles its hardware in-house and writes its own software. Its team are the leading experts on methane capture from landfills. The mission: turning emissions into resources through landfill automation, with a goal of removing 10 million tons of CO2 equivalent by 2030. Who Hydryx works with: landfill owners and operators, including municipal and commercial waste companies, and their site managers and operations engineers. Key facts: - Results: more than 30% green energy uplift, more than 90% well-tuning time saved, and up to 50% emissions reduced. - How it works: sensors at each wellhead sample methane, oxygen and pressure. A site-specific cloud model sets the optimal valve position for every well every 15 minutes, accounting for cross-well effects, site conditions and weather. Actuators adjust the valves automatically. - What operators see: a live well performance map, custom alerts, energy and methane capture analytics, and reporting-ready performance data. - Hardware: plug-and-play, clipped onto existing wellheads. Solar powered, intrinsically safe, updated over the air. - Compatible with: gas generators, biomethane upgrading and flare-only sites. The actuator fits most common valve brands. The system works best at landfills producing from a few hundred cubic meters of landfill gas per hour. Smaller sites can start with sensors only. - Commercial model: subscription with no upfront investment. The assessment is free and typically begins with a call. Installation is typically within a week of contract signature, if sensors are in stock. No permits are needed, and existing infrastructure stays as it is. What Hydryx is not: Hydryx does not build, own, operate or finance landfill gas systems. It improves systems the operator already owns and runs. It is an automation system. ## Product and approach - [Solution](https://www.hydryx.eu/solution): Automated well tuning, real-time site monitoring and site performance analytics, plus the hardware and the FAQ on compatibility, site size and maintenance. - [Approach](https://www.hydryx.eu/approach): The three onboarding steps (assessment, installation, activation), plus FAQ on training, support, reporting, permits and assessment cost. - [Estimate your site's potential](https://www.hydryx.eu/estimate-your-sites-potential): Request an estimate of what automation could add at your landfill. - [Book a demo](https://www.hydryx.eu/book-a-demo): Book a short call to explore your site's potential and see the product in action. ## Live sites - [Kiertokaari, Ruskotunturi, Oulu, Finland](https://www.hydryx.eu/blog-posts/hydryx-goes-live-in-finland-with-kiertokaari-and-biovima): First Finnish installation, on 40 gas lines, with installation partner Biovoima.
