When the newspaper you’ve read for years calls

Last week we had the pleasure of sitting down with TW.nl to talk about the origins of Hydryx, how our technology was born, and our ambition to reduce landfill emissions globally.
Seeing the article appear was a special moment for our team, and a slightly surreal one as well. Not only because our story was featured, but because TW dedicated a full two page spread to Hydryx and our climate mission.
For Joren Tangelder, our co-founder and COO, the interview was particularly meaningful. Joren has been a longtime reader of TW, and a proud tech-nerd that likes to dive into new innovations in his spare time. Being interviewed by the very newspaper he had spent years reading felt like a small dream come true.
During the conversation we spoke about the challenge landfill operators face today. Gas extraction systems are often still managed manually, which means methane leaks are common and valuable gas is often wasted. Hydryx helps operators move to data-driven control, improving gas extraction while reducing methane emissions.
We also discussed our plans to scale the Hydryx methane management system internationally, bringing the technology to landfill sites across Europe, Asia, and other global markets.
For now, we are simply grateful that TW chose to feature our story and our mission to turn landfills into energy assets.
